Disc Golf Anybody?
Did you know that Philadelphia has the country's oldest Disc Golf course?

Just another example of how Philadelphia leads the way for the nation and world. Somehow, it didn't make this list.

Anyhow, I was wondering if people would be up for a rousing game of Disc Golf this weekend. I've been given an OK from T to goof off for a bit, and there is no set time, although nap time (12-3) on either day would probably be most popular.

I am undeniably proud of all the things Philadelphia has had a hand in developing, but I don't know about this one. A disc won't fly very well if you hit it with a golf club. Heck, you'd be better off (if messier) playing watermelon golf.

You just have to hit it with the right edge.

***EDIT***Seems disc golf is played differently than we think!

Wow-- I didn't know we had a disc golf course here! The first one I ever saw was in Maryland.

I would love to play, but this weekend's kind of crazy. Maybe sometime in early October, if the weather's still good?

Maryland wishes it could have Pennsylvania's rich cultural heritage (Declaration of Independence, Nation's Capitol (almost has it now, but not quite), disc golf innovations).

Maybe October. The leaves should be quite pretty (and slippery) then.
