Harry Potter
I just started reading the latest Harry Potter, having borrowed it from our nanny. Yes, our nanny is a Sci-Fi/fantasy nut who took my kids to the comic convention when it was in town. Philipa was scared of the Storm Troopers (and she should be...they're evil), but excited about the Dora the Explorer t-shirt she got.

Our nanny also has a crush on Optimus Prime, which I have teased her about to no end.

Anyhow, already only four chapters in my active mind is reinterpretting the story for slash fic. I suppose reading a book for pubescent children is well written if it puts me in the mindset of its target audience.

Still, I've never considered writing any of that stuff. I'm more into the classics. For example, my Dr Seuss fan fic story Would, could you with a goat?

Well, at least I'm not the last one to read it. But your Nanny sounds righteous! Also, I don't blame you for thinking in terms of slash. There is a lot of wand waving going on in that book!

Our nanny is terrific, and probably well-suited to working for a couple of engineers and their future nerdy children.

Oh, c'mon. If it were Optimus, I'd experiment with robosexuality.

If I'd posted this elsewhere, I'd probably generate a long list of transformers that people would 'do'. Fortunately, I don't post to those places.

Arg, how did I miss this message. I still haven't seen the movie. And now I have to host some Asians on Sunday, so I'm never getting my life back.

Host some Asians? Oh, my condolences...

By the way, the wife is chatterign in my ear, "When are we going to see him again? Is he lost in babyland?"

I don't know, honey. Just don't know.

Definitely lost in BabyLand, which is in no way associated with Candyland.

You, me, my wife, and your wife should definitely get together again. If you're around this weekend, that's one possibility. Call me, as apparently I suck at using my email.
