Harry Potter
I just started reading the latest Harry Potter, having borrowed it from our nanny. Yes, our nanny is a Sci-Fi/fantasy nut who took my kids to the comic convention when it was in town. Philipa was scared of the Storm Troopers (and she should be...they're evil), but excited about the Dora the Explorer t-shirt she got.
Our nanny also has a crush on Optimus Prime, which I have teased her about to no end.
Anyhow, already only four chapters in my active mind is reinterpretting the story for slash fic. I suppose reading a book for pubescent children is well written if it puts me in the mindset of its target audience.
Still, I've never considered writing any of that stuff. I'm more into the classics. For example, my Dr Seuss fan fic story Would, could you with a goat?
